Lack of memory, the Galaxy S4 Will contrived "Slim"

S4 Galaxy smartphones from Samsung comes with so many pre-installed apps aka bloatware. So many, these applications left little internal memory space that can be used by users.

16 GB version, for example, only has space less than 9 GB. This triggered a wave of negative publicity and complaints from users that Samsung then feel the need to take action to resolve the issue specifically.

"We are considering the possibility of free memory space (on the Galaxy S4) through optimization of software," said a Samsung spokesman was quoted by Cnet. "We appreciate that this issue has been brought to the surface and will try to improve communication."

Optimization in question may be in the form of compression or other techniques. Clearly, Samsung is now apparently also felt that the Galaxy S4-at least for the 16GB version-indeed lack of memory space.

Unlike HTC or iPhone 5 from Apple, Galaxy S4 actually provide storage expansion options via a micro-SD card slot.

However, the memory card can not be used to install applications on the Galaxy S4 so that users are forced to save the empty space available in the internal memory.

Previously, Samsung being defensive about this issue by stating that the default applications that reach about 6.85 GB in size needed to provide extra features to the user. The amount of 1 GB is bigger than the size of applications pre-installed on the Galaxy S III.

Samsung itself is not the first manufacturer to receive complaints about the availability of space on the internal memory. Surface Pro 64GB tablet from Microsoft, for example, only provides 23 GB of free space while the 8GB Nintendo Wii U only has 3 GB of free space.
