Nokia Windows Phone as the largest producer in the world, stating that the photo sharing app Instagram is coming to the Windows Phone platform.
This was disclosed by Nokia Executive Vice President, Chris Weber, in an interview with the Bangkok Post from Thailand, Friday (23/08/2013). However, he did not give details of when Instagram will be available on Windows Phone.
Just like Indonesia, Nokia considers Thailand as an important country to sell its products. Vice President of Smart Devices Nokia, Jo Harlow, some time ago claimed that the Lumia has retained 20 percent of smartphone market share in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam.
Slowly, Windows Phone shows its success build the application ecosystem. Some popular applications, such as Path, Flipboard, and Vine, is committed to creating applications on the Microsoft platform.
Growth of Windows Phone is not separated from the incessant wars that helped Nokia to build Windows Phone ecosystem.
In terms of sales, according to data from research agency IDC, Nokia Lumia accounted for 82 percent of the total 8.7 million Windows Phone devices were shipped in the second quarter of 2013.
However, Windows Phone market share globally has reached 3.7 percent. While Android and Apple, still leads the market share of respectively 79 percent and 13 percent.
